No password · your file never leaves your device

See who doesn't follow you back on Instagram

A not-following-back checker that reads your official Instagram export: everyone you follow who doesn't follow you. No password, no login.

How the checker works

Your Instagram export contains two complete lists: your followers and the accounts you follow. unfollowig compares them right in your browser and shows three groups: don't follow back (you follow them, they don't follow you), mutual, and you don't follow (they follow you, you don't follow them).

Every account shows the date you followed it, so you can tell yesterday's follow from someone who has ignored you for years.

Why not by hand or with an app

Comparing hundreds of accounts by hand takes ages, and Instagram limits scrolling. Apps that ask for your login break Instagram's rules and can get your account restricted or hacked. The export is safe: Instagram gives it to you, and the file never leaves your device.

What to do with the list

  • Star the accounts you keep (brands, celebrities, friends) and tick the ones you unfollowed. The list becomes a checklist.
  • Unfollow gradually, no more than 100–150 a day, so Instagram doesn't limit your actions.
  • Upload a new export in a couple of weeks to see who unfollowed you.

Three steps and you see it all

We read Instagram's official data export right in your browser.

  1. Request your export

In Instagram Accounts Center, request "Followers and following" for all time.

  2. Drop the ZIP

Drag the file from Instagram's email here. No need to unzip.

  3. See and compare

Every upload is saved as a snapshot — compare them to find who left.

Step-by-step export guide
  1. Open Accounts Center → Your information → Download your information.
  2. Tap "Download or transfer information" → pick your profile → "Some of your information".
  3. Select "Followers and following" (under Connections). Want your profile photo in the dashboard? Also tick "Personal information". → "Download to device".
  4. Date range "All time", format JSON (so follow dates are included). Tap "Create files".
  5. In a few minutes (sometimes up to a day) you'll get an email — download the ZIP and drop it here.

FAQ

Do you need my Instagram password?

No, never. We only read the official data export you download from Instagram yourself.

Can my account get banned?

No. We never log into your account or send requests to Instagram — we just read a file.

Where is my data stored?

In this browser on this device. If you turn on sync in your account, the server also keeps an encrypted copy only you can open. Delete it all with the button at the bottom of the page.

What's the difference between "don't follow back" and "unfollowed"?

"Don't follow back" means they don't follow you now (maybe never did). "Unfollowed" means they were in your previous snapshot and are gone in the new one. That needs two exports from different dates.

Why is someone listed as unfollowed when they still follow me?

They may have changed their username, or deleted or deactivated their account. Treat results as hints, not proof.

Is it free?

Yes. Analysis and comparisons are free.
